Hello everybody,

I have downloaded the directshow libraries etc, set a reference to them and then i copied and pasted the code samples from your page but it has no idea what ITimeline plus a few others are, so i must be missing some references. What am i missing???

This splicing looks like something i could work with!
I have two videos in wmv format that i would like to splice together. plus i would like to take out the first 4 seconds of each video.

Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Phil

You need to download the latest release http://www.codeplex.com/splicer/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=633 and add references to the Splicer assembly as well as the direct show .net assemblies - at that point ITimeline etc. should be available.

Note that the two "samples" given on the wiki are a little out of day, see this thread for details: http://www.codeplex.com/splicer/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=1977.

Splicing two videos together (and removing the first four seconds from each) should be trivial, let me know if you have any issues.

Cheers,

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your reply.
I still haven't got this working. It must be to do with the versions...

I haven't got my head around this as I normally develop in VB.NET.
At the moment as all I want to do is Splice two videos together and remove the first bit of each so I find myself ripping all the code out from your projects to keep it simple.

Have you got any examples with just splicing the videos together? This would really help me out and get me started.

Thanks in advance.
Phil
