Hi,

I have to convert a Quick Time Movie *.mov to a Flash File(.flv). I have downloaded the Splicer source code and have tested it just by changing the file extensions. The output file gets generated but the format seems to be invalid for flash players.I am trying to display it on a web page.

Does the code in the version16374 be used to generate an FLV? What changes are necessary;what are the prx files defined in the 'WindowsMedia' folder Could you guide us through the process of generating the prxs' . How to define the config for Quick Time and Flash.

Thanks in Advance.

To use quick time movies as a source for splicer, you need to have a direct show filter registered which is capable of reading that file format - see this thread for more info on getting splicer to work with quicktime:

As for rendering to a flash video, we actually need to build a "flash video" renderer for this (or far more likely, wrap up an existing opensource codec for this use) - there is already a work item logged against this:

But as yet I haven't had time to tackle it... just vote on it, and when I have some spare time I'll build it... don't forget to subscribe to the project's RSS feed - that's the easiest way to track the forums, issues and new releases.

Cheers,
